Description
Ms. Kathleen Mickey was born in New Orleans, LA and grew up on the outskirts of the city in Avondale, LA. She had always loved food – both eating it and cooking it – but her true passion was for Creole cuisine. Her mother and maternal grandmother taught her all about making delicious meals with a unique blend of spices and sauces that could not be found anywhere else.
When Ms. Mickey turned 21, she decided to join the Army to serve her country proudly and see the world while doing so. As a Soldier, she traveled around the globe exploring different cultures through their cuisines as well as learning more about her own culture’s culinary heritage by speaking with other Soldiers who came from Louisiana or had spent time there during their service years.
After retiring from active duty after 21 years of service, Ms. Mickey decided to take all that knowledge she gained over those years abroad and use it to create something special for back home: “Stuff Me Creole” This is her cookbook filled with recipes designed specifically for using Ms. Mickey’s very own creole seasonings, sauces, other products etc., which can be found on her website, Amazon(13 Countries), coming soon to Barnes Books and Noble and other major stores across America. With this cookbook comes an array of mouthwatering dishes for everyone to enjoy no matter what their skill level may be when it comes to cooking; beginners can find simple instructions on how best use each seasoning while more advanced cooks will have plenty of ideas to experiment with as they explore new flavor combinations!
It’s clear why Stuff Me Creole has become such a must-read cookbook among creole aficionados everywhere – S. Kathleen Mickey has truly created something special here that is sure to bring joy into any kitchen!
